Privacy Policy for US Customers
At Natural Resistance, we hold ourselves to the same standard with data as we do with product design.
Handling your personal data responsibly is something we take seriously. This privacy policy explains how Natural Resistance AB, 559462-9877, ("Natural Resistance", "we" or "us") collects, uses, discloses and otherwise processes your personal data when you purchase our weighted garments and related products, create a customer account, sign up for our newsletter, browse www.naturalresistance.com ("the Website") or get in touch with us.
This policy is intended to comply with applicable US state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA"), and the comprehensive privacy laws of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Indiana, and other states with similar requirements. Where California law sets the highest standard, our practices meet or exceed those requirements for all US customers.
This document also sets out your rights as a consumer and tells you how to exercise them.
1. Key Terms
Personal Information means any information that identifies, relates to, describes, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly to you or your household. This includes obvious identifiers like your name and address, but also things like IP addresses, purchase history, and browsing behavior.
Business refers to Natural Resistance AB, the entity that determines the purposes and means of processing your personal information.
Service Provider means a company that processes your personal information on our behalf, under written contract, and only for the purposes we specify.
Sale / Sharing under the CCPA/CPRA, "selling" means exchanging personal information for money; "sharing" includes disclosing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, even without payment. We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with advertising platforms as described in Section 5.
Sensitive Personal Information includes data such as government ID numbers, financial account details, precise geolocation, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, health data, and biometric identifiers. We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information from our customers.

In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information from or about our customers:
Identifiers: name, email address, postal address, phone number, account username, and IP address.
Commercial information: products purchased, order history, transaction amounts, payment method type, and product preferences.
Financial information: payment details necessary to process transactions. We do not store full credit or debit card numbers, payments are handled by authorized third-party payment processors.
Internet or network activity: browsing behavior on the Website, pages visited, access times, referring URLs, browser type, device identifiers, and operating system. Collected via cookies and similar tracking technologies, see Section 11 for more detail.
Communications data: correspondence between you and our team, including customer service inquiries, complaints, warranty requests, and any other messages you send us.
Inferences: preferences and interests we may draw from your purchase history or Website interactions, used to personalize marketing communications.
We collect this information directly from you when you visit the Website, place an order, create an account, sign up for our newsletter, or contact us. Some technical data is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.]

4. How We Use Your Personal Information

Processing and fulfilling your order: We use your contact, address, and payment details to process your purchase, verify eligibility, send delivery notifications by email or SMS including parcel tracking updates, and handle returns and exchanges.
Customer support: We use your contact details and correspondence to respond to questions, resolve order issues, handle warranty or return claims, and communicate service-related updates.
Marketing communications: With your consent, or where permitted by applicable law for existing customers, we may use your email address or phone number to send you newsletters, product updates, and promotional offers. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message or by contacting us directly.
Advertising through third-party platforms: We may share your contact details with advertising platforms such as Meta or Google in a hashed format for the purpose of showing you relevant ads and reaching similar audiences. This may constitute "sharing" under the CCPA/CPRA. You have the right to opt out, see Section 9.
Website improvement and analytics: We use technical and behavioral data in aggregated, non-identifying form to understand how the Website is used and improve its performance and content.
Security and fraud prevention: We use certain data to detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions, abuse, and security incidents.
Legal compliance: We process data to the extent necessary to comply with applicable laws, respond to legal process, and fulfill obligations under tax, accounting, and consumer protection legislation.
Competitions and promotions: Where you enter a competition or prize draw, we use your data to administer the event, contact winners, and fulfill prizes in accordance with the applicable promotion terms.

Advertising platforms: We may share personal information such as email addresses with advertising platforms including Meta and Google in hashed format for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may opt out of this sharing, see Section 9.
Government and law enforcement: We may disclose personal information to public authorities, regulators, or courts where required by law or in response to a lawful request.
Business transaction parties: If we sell, transfer, or restructure any part of our business, personal information may be disclosed to professional advisors or prospective buyers under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
Other disclosures: We may disclose personal information where needed to protect the safety or rights of Natural Resistance, our customers, or others, or to enforce our legal agreements. Any other disclosures will only be made with your explicit consent.
In the past 12 months, we have not sold personal information to third parties, and we have not disclosed personal information for any purpose other than those described above.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law.
Account and profile data: retained for the duration of your account and deleted or anonymized upon closure, unless longer retention is required by law.
Order and transaction data: retained for up to seven (7) years to comply with tax and accounting obligations.
Customer service data: retained for as long as needed to resolve your request, and up to three (3) years for internal quality review.
Marketing data: retained until you opt out or unsubscribe, or for up to three (3) years after your last interaction with us.
Technical and browsing data: retained in accordance with our Cookie Policy.
When data is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or irreversibly anonymized.
7. International Data Transfers
Natural Resistance is headquartered in Sweden. If you are located in the United States, your personal information will be transferred to and processed in Sweden and potentially other countries. We ensure that any such transfers comply with applicable law and that your data is protected to a standard equivalent to or greater than what is required under US state privacy laws.
Where we transfer data to third-party service providers located outside the United States, we require them to maintain appropriate safeguards to protect your personal information.
8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Website uses cookies and similar technologies including pixels, beacons, and software development kits (SDKs). These may be placed by us or by third parties such as Meta and Google, and may track your activity across other websites.
Strictly necessary cookies: Required for the Website to function, including fraud detection and security. No consent required.
Analytics cookies: Used to understand how visitors use the Website, in order to improve performance and content.
Functional cookies: Used to remember your preferences and improve your experience.
Marketing and advertising cookies: Used to deliver relevant ads to you on third-party platforms. These may constitute "sharing" of personal information under the CCPA/CPRA. You may opt out, see Section 9.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings or our cookie management tool on the Website. Please note that opting out of certain cookies may limit the functionality of the Website. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out of the sale and sharing of personal information, as required by California law.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on the state in which you reside, you may have some or all of the following rights:
Right to know: You may request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you in the past 12 months, including the purposes for collection and the categories of third parties with whom it has been shared.
Right to delete: You may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions for example, where we need to retain the data to complete a transaction, comply with a legal obligation, or detect fraud.
Right to correct: You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
Right to opt out of sale or sharing: You have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Right to limit use of sensitive personal information: To the extent we ever collect sensitive personal information, you have the right to direct us to use it only for the purposes permitted by law.
Right to non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights. We will not deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, or provide a lower quality of service because you exercised a right under this policy.
Right to data portability: Where applicable, you may request a copy of your personal information in a portable, machine-readable format.
To exercise any of these rights, submit a verifiable request to sam@naturalresistance.com. We will verify your identity before processing your request and We will respond to your request within 45 days of receipt. If we require additional time due to the complexity or volume of requests, we will notify you within the initial 45-day period and extend our response time by up to an additional 45 days, as permitted under applicable law. If we need additional time, we will let you know.
You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf, we may require written authorization or power of attorney to process such requests.
10. Automated Decision-Making
We do not use automated decision-making technology to make decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects. If this changes, we will update this policy and provide you with any opt-out rights required under applicable law, including under the CCPA/CPRA regulations effective January 1, 2027 for significant automated decisions. To process a request submitted by an authorized agent, we may require written authorization signed by you, or a valid power of attorney, and we reserve the right to verify your identity directly, independent of the agent's submission.
11. Third-Party Links
Our Website may include links to third-party websites. These sites are not operated by Natural Resistance and we have no control over their content or privacy practices. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any third-party site before sharing your personal information with them.
12. Security
We maintain reasonable and appropriate technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, loss, or misuse. These measures are reviewed and updated regularly.
No system is entirely secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable state breach notification laws. Depending on the nature of the breach and the requirements of applicable state law, notification may be provided by email, postal mail, telephone, or where permitted by posting a conspicuous notice on the Website or through statewide media. We will provide notice in the most expedient time possible and without unreasonable delay.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, changes in law, or other operational reasons. When we do, we will update the date below and post the revised policy on the Website. For material changes, we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice on the Website.
