At Natural Resistance, we hold ourselves to the same standard with data as we do with product design.
Handling your personal data responsibly is something we take seriously. This privacy policy explains how Natural Resistance AB, 559462-9877, ("Natural Resistance", "we" or "us") collects, uses, discloses and otherwise processes your personal data when you purchase our weighted garments and related products, create a customer account, sign up for our newsletter, browse www.naturalresistance.com ("the Website") or get in touch with us.
This document also sets out your rights as a data subject and tells you how to exercise them. All processing described here is carried out in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and applicable Swedish and EU data protection law.
1. Key Terms
Personal Data refers to any information that can be linked, directly or indirectly, to an identifiable person - this includes obvious identifiers like your name and address, but also things like an IP address when it can be tied back to you.
Controller is the entity that determines why and how personal data is processed. Natural Resistance AB acts as the Controller in relation to the processing described in this policy.
Processing covers any operation performed on personal data - collection, storage, use, sharing, restriction, erasure, and everything in between.
Processor is a third party that processes personal data on behalf of the Controller, under the Controller's instructions.

3. Our Legal Basis for Processing
We only process your personal data when we have a valid legal basis for doing so under the GDPR.
Where processing is needed to deliver products, manage your account, handle an order, provide after-sales support, or respond to a service-related request, we do so on the basis of our contractual relationship with you, it is necessary to fulfil our obligations as a seller.
Where we process your data for marketing purposes, for instance, to send news and offers to existing customers based on prior purchases, or to reach you through third-party advertising platforms. We do so on the basis of our legitimate interest in promoting our products to people who have already shown an interest in them. We have weighed this interest against your right to privacy and are satisfied the balance is justified. Where you are a new customer with no prior purchase history, we will only send marketing communications with your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any message or by writing to us.
Where we use your data to maintain and improve the Website and our products, safeguard our legal rights, or handle corporate events such as a merger or acquisition, we again rely on legitimate interest.
Where you take part in a competition or prize draw we have organised, we process your data to administer the event and contact the winner(s). This is based on our legitimate interest in running the competition properly. If you are selected as a winner, we will continue processing your data on the basis of contract performance, to deliver your prize and fulfil the terms of the competition.
We are also required to process certain personal data to comply with Swedish and EU legal obligations, including the Accounting Act, the Money Laundering Act and the Swedish Income Tax Act.
If we ever intend to process your data for a purpose not covered by this policy, we will let you know in advance and seek your consent where required.
4. What Personal Data We Collect and How
Depending on how you interact with us, the personal data we may collect and process includes:
Contact details: your name, email address, postal address and phone number.
Payment information: the data required to process your payment. We do not store full card details, payments are handled by authorized third-party payment providers.
Order information: details of the products you have ordered, amounts paid, and if you hold an account your order history and account ID.
Correspondence: any messages exchanged between you and our team, including enquiries, complaints, warranty requests and other communications. We recommend avoiding the sharing of sensitive information over email, as it cannot always be guaranteed to be secure.
Technical data: information collected automatically when you visit the Website, including your IP address, browser type and version, screen resolution, preferred language, approximate location, operating system, access times and referring URLs. While we do not typically use this data to identify individuals, it can sometimes be linked to a person. It is used primarily to operate the Website and understand how it is being used. Where you enter a competition or prize draw, we may also collect your name, email address, phone number, and any other details relevant to the competition such as your country of residence or membership status. Winners may have their photograph and additional details processed for marketing and interview purposes, in line with the specific competition terms.
All personal data we hold about you comes directly from you. You are never obliged to provide it; however, certain information is needed for us to process your order, manage your account, or respond to your enquiry. Choosing not to provide that information may limit our ability to serve you.
5. Why We Use Your Personal Data
The purposes for which we process your personal data are as follows:
Managing your purchase: We use your contact, address and payment details to process and fulfil your order, verify eligibility to purchase, send delivery notifications by email or SMS including parcel tracking updates, and handle any returns. This processing is necessary to perform our contract with you.
Customer support: If something goes wrong or you have a question, we use your contact details and any correspondence to assist you. This is also part of performing our contract with you.
Sending offers, news and product updates: We may use your email address or phone number to send newsletters and updates about Natural Resistance. For existing customers, this is based on our legitimate interest in keeping you informed about products you have already shown interest in. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message.
Advertising through third-party platforms: We may share your contact details with advertising platforms such as Meta or Google in a hashed and pseudonymized format, so they can serve you relevant ads and identify similar audiences. This is based on our legitimate interest in marketing our products. You can opt out by contacting us directly.
Improving the Website and our products: We may occasionally invite you to share feedback, and we use technical and purchase data in aggregated, non-identifying form to understand how the Website is used and how our products and services can be improved. You can opt out of feedback requests at any time. This processing is based on our legitimate interest in developing our business.
Fulfilling legal obligations: We are required under Swedish and EU law to retain certain records. We process your data to the extent necessary to comply with the Accounting Act, the Swedish Income Tax Act, and other applicable legal requirements.

Running competitions and prize draws: We process participant data to administer competitions, notify winners and manage our relationship with them in accordance with the relevant competition terms.
Consent-based processing: Where you have given us consent to process your data for a specific purpose, we will do so only for that stated purpose. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at sam@naturalresistance.com. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before that point.

7. Where Your Data Is Processed
We aim to keep your personal data within the EU/EEA at all times. In some cases, however, working with certain service providers or partners may involve transferring data to countries outside the EEA that do not offer the same level of data protection as European law provides.
Where such transfers are necessary, we ensure they are covered by one of the following safeguards: an adequacy decision from the European Commission confirming the receiving country offers sufficient protection; or the use of Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, supplemented where needed by additional technical and organizational measures.

8. How Long We Keep Your Data
We keep personal data only for as long as it is genuinely needed. As a general principle, we retain your data for the duration of our relationship while your account is active or your newsletter subscription is live and for a maximum of one year after your last purchase for marketing purposes. Data required for legal and accounting compliance is kept for as long as those obligations demand, in accordance with the Accounting Act, the Money Laundering Act, and the Swedish Income Tax Act. We may also retain data where needed to protect our legal rights.
For competition and prize draw participants, we retain data until the event has concluded and any winners have been contacted and their prizes delivered. Once that relationship has ended, we stop processing the relevant data.
No personal data is stored for longer than is necessary or in a way that is incompatible with applicable law. Once the applicable retention period has passed, data is either securely deleted or irreversibly anonymized.
9. Your Rights
Right of access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you at any time.
Right to rectification: If the data we hold is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to ask us to correct it.
Right to withdraw consent: Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before the withdrawal, but we will stop processing for that purpose going forward. Withdrawing consent may affect your access to certain features or services, and we will let you know if that is the case.
You may also have the right to request erasure of your data, restriction of processing, data portability, or to object to processing — including processing based on our legitimate interests. To exercise any of these rights, please send a written request to sam@naturalresistance.com. We will respond within one month, or inform you if additional time is needed.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish data protection authority, Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY), at www.imy.se, or with the supervisory authority in your country of residence.

The Natural Resistance Website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies.
